Yesterday afternoon, we learned that The Walking Dead's finale won't air until later in 2020 thanks to the coronavirus, and that was the latest in a series of blows to zombie fans. After all, it was only this Sunday when we were forced to say goodbye to Danai Gurira's katana wielding Michonne!

The actress is moving on to bigger things, including Marvel Studios and Ryan Coogler's Black Panther 2.

Sunday's episode left the door open to Michonne making a return in AMC's Rick Grimes film, as she was left alive and on the hunt for her former flame. The movie, which is the first in a planned trilogy, has no release date, but was confirmed for a theatrical release shortly after being announced.

The Walking Dead has lost nearly all of its original cast members, but that has led to fan-favorite Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) landing a huge pay rise as the new lead of the long-running drama.

Gurira is a great actress, so we can't wait to see what she does beyond the Black Panther franchise.
