The mega shopping holiday that is Black Friday may have come and gone, but deals still abound in the lead-up to Christmas. Amazon and Best Buy have both unleashed discounts on LEGO sets with prices rivaling anything we saw during the Black Friday period. So if you still have some holiday shopping to do, or you want to pick up a set for yourself (particularly in the video game category), you can save some cash.

Note that stock is not holding steady. Many of the on-sale sets have already sold out, so grab whatever you want sooner rather than later. OK, let’s have a look.

LEGO Sets on Sale

Most of the sets are 40% off, which is a very good discount for LEGO sets. That’s a percentage off you don’t generally see outside of Black Friday. So anytime you see a LEGO set on sale for 40% off, you can rest assured that you’re getting a killer deal. If you’re worried anyway, you can price check the set on Camelcamelcamel, which shows historical pricing on Amazon and is one of my most-used tools in the deal coverage game.

So what sets are on sale? There are a few Star Wars LEGO sets available for cheap. Some Wednesday sets, based on the Netflix show, are discounted. A good number of Animal Crossing sets are on sale as well. Basically, if you see a set that you want, it’s as good of a deal as you’re ever likely to get. So buy with confidence.

LEGO Recent Releases

The LEGO releases have slowed down in a major way after the tsunami of sets that hit in October. November only had three new sets (granted, they were all impressive), while December had literally zero new sets hit the market. But things will pick up again in the new year. LEGO announced a Stranger Things set coming January 1. Also releasing that day is a new Back to the Future Time Machine set and a bunch of new Star Wars sets, among many others. For a look back, you can check out all the major LEGO releases in 2025.
